It is kind of hard to believe that here we are at the mid section of November already...WOW how time truly does fly when you're having fun

I wanted to send along some updates on the No Brain - No Gain campaign...

I am happy to say that we have had a great response from so many of you. Your thoughts, insight, and ideas have been greatly appreciated.

We have created two versions of posters that we feel are ready for download and printing. You can see these at www.NoBrainNoGain.org - They are FREE for you to download and use. The only thing I ask is that you fill out the form to let us know where they will be. As time goes on we will want to be able to provide those who are using them with updated materials.

BACCHUS

Well it is that time of year again and we are packing our bags for BACCHUS General Assembly in Columbus, Ohio.

I will be presenting on the 13th. This years presentation will be called "No Brain - No Gain" and will focus on why Brain health is so important to the-overall health on a campus. I hope that if you are a school that will be attending that you will send a delegate to sit in.

I also will be a Featured Speaker as well on the 14th at 4:30 in the Delaware room. I hope that many of you will attend and or send a delegate to do so.

The Proof is on the HAT

I have gotten many comments of late about my hats... for those of you who do not know what I am talking about here goes.

Late last year I began purchasing a hat at each school that I speak at. After I get done speaking I invite only those who have either changed their minds about mental health, learned something, or acquired something of value during the event to come forward and sign my hat. If they have gained nothing out of the event (or are in a hurry) they simply may go about their life...

I am happy to say that these hats have filled up at each and every school I have gone to...I wish I could say that this has happened because I am such a great speaker... I cannot. I say this has happened because we have had such great young people in attendance who come to learn with an open mind. I am simply a way of keeping them entertained long enough for the data to set in.

We have had students, faculty, staff and public people stand in line for literally an hour just to sign these hats.

Do you have a chapter on your campus yet? If not why? I have worked with these fine young people on such campuses as Alfred University, Boston University, Case Western University, Juniata University, Regis University, Saginaw Valley State, and many more. These are very pro-active young people making a huge difference on their campuses.

For all those High School people on my list I also urge you to take a look...after all your kids probably could benefit even more. Face it, if we can get to them before they hit college maybe we can address some of their mental instability early enough to prevent major problems after high school!
